Enjoying a Coca-Cola product from a plastic bottle? You're holding on to one precious resource! In an ongoing effort to decrease our dependence on natural resources, The Coca-Cola Company opened the world's largest plastic bottle-to-bottle recycling plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Along with recycling efforts from consumers like you, this plant gives us ability to produce 100 million pounds of recycled plastic—or about 2 billion 20oz Coca-Cola bottles—a year.

RecycleMania
This year, 510 schools from all 50 states and Canada went crazy for conservation: collectively recycling or composting just over 69.4 million pounds of waste over ten weeks. RecycleMania is a friendly competition for college recycling programs to promote waste reduction to their communities. Over ten weeks, schools report their recycling and trash data and watch how their results compare against other schools, pushing them to do more! It's good fun that's good for the Earth. Help register a school in your community for 2010!
